How much will my extra curricular activities affect my chance at a scholarship?

I am a junior in high school and I have a 3.88 GPA. Along with this GPA I play three sports (football, basketball, and soccer). I also participate in over 100 hours of community service every school year. I am also my school's sports editor. I am also in National Honor Society. My question really is how much will all these extra curricular activities affect my chance to get a scholarship.

It depends on the criteria to get the scholarship, so look at that when you apply.

Your best best is to go to a school that gives you aid. Check the Net Price Calculator. Look for schools that meet need if you have need. If not, look for colleges that will give you merit aid/scholarships. Outside scholarships often depend on need, often are for small amount that are just for one year.

Check the Financial Aid posts at the top of the forum.

The only way will be if your EC is one that the college gives scholarships for. If not…it won’t matter at all.

In my experience, along with GPA and extra curricular activities, scholarship applications often require ACT / SAT scores as well. @TheManar26 Have you taken either of them?
