How much will my scores improve?

Hi I'm almost done with my freshman year of high school and I took the SAT for the first time in May. I took it just to see how I would do and did not study for it, except for an hour or two the night before. I got 670 CR, 670 Math, and 550 Writing for a total of 1890. I do have a 4.0 gpa and want to go to a top notch college. When I retake the SAT a few more times, and actually study a lot for it, how much do you think I can improve my scores?

Wow. A 1890 isn’t bad at all, but unfortunately, not enough for a high school though. If you studied, I think you’ll get in the high 2000+. You’re in good hands, good luck :)

We don’t know anything about you. You can improve no more than 510 points, that’s for sure.

Otherwise, this is a silly question. You are not focusing on the right things. Instead of asking how much you can improve (which means nothing if you don’t work), why don’t you ask what you would have to do to score as high as possible in an efficient manner?

That’s a smarter focus.

The answer to that is complicated given your age, but you have the ability. Reading a book or prepping in a year or two will be your best bet.

Good Luck
