How much will these B's hurt me?

I obviously know its not the end of the world, but how would this affect me?

had a 4.0 both semesters of freshman year

1st sem of sophomore year

span 2 A
p.e A
ap euro A
ap bio B
h precalc B
ap comp A
h eng 10 A

I feel like **** though cause i Had a 4.0 till i got 2 C's on my finals for bio and precalc.

Who is to say? A few Bs sprinkled here and there in a rigorous courseload isn’t going to make or break you.

Tons of non-4.0 students get into top colleges (like me). Tons of 4.0 students are also rejected at the tippy top colleges.

thanks, i guess the personal disappointment is greater for me than how it will affect admissions.

From what I gathered, a sub-4.0 UW GPA is always considered in context to your class rank. Depending on the difficulty of your school and the strength of your classmates, you may be the val of your class without straight A’s, or you may be outside of the top 5% with only one B. If those two B’s significantly impact your class rank (e.g. drop from 1/600 to 18/60"), then certainly those B’s will be a detriment to your chances. But if you still maintain a solid rank despite the non-4.0 GPA, your chances are only marginally, if noticeably, impacted.

Of course, this is only the information I’ve learned through CC; you may want to confirm these statements on an actual shool’s website or by speaking with an adcom.

haha well if i got straight A’s this semester i wud of had the highest g.p.a in my graduating class according to my counselor
