How much yearly income would you consider low, middle, and upper class?

<p>^i disagree I would think most people are middle class</p>

<p>at any rate , are you lower class?</p>

<p>Lower: < 35 k
Middle: 35k to 120k
Upper Middle: 120k to 200k
Upper: 200K +</p>

<p>poor: 0-20k
lower: 20k-40k
lower middle: 40k-65k
middle: 65k-90k
upper middle: 90k-150k
lower high class: 150k-250k
high class: 250k-400k
rich: 400k-650k
wealthy: 650k-1million
elite: 1million+</p>

<p>This would be for whole families, not single persons</p>

<p>PlattsburghLoser:
“Based on how I grew up and the type in environment I lived in, I’d say:
The lower bracket: below $60k
Middle bracket: $60k - $150k
Upper bracket: $150k - $300k
I’m gonna rob you bracket: $300k+”</p>

<p>50k even here in the Bay Area for one person ain’t bad at all. I could easily manage.</p>

<p>$50K in Manhattan (where I live) would have you living in the Projects. Or lifetime confinement to a studio apartment the size of a closet.</p>

<p>Low income: <15K
Low mid: 15-40K
mid: 40-85K
upper mid: 85-115K
well off: 115-225K
rich: 225+</p>

<p>this is per household in the midwest (i live in a poorer area, too)</p>

<p>Lower: <100K
Middle: 100K-250K
Upper: 250K+</p>

<p>

Do you live in ****ing bel-air or something? These numbers are way off.</p>

<p>$0 to $25,000 (28.22%)
$25,000 to $50,000 (26.65%)
National Median $44,389
$50,000 to $75,000 (18.27%)
$75,000 to $100,000 (10.93%)
$100,000 or more (15.73%)</p>

<p>Low < 25K
Middle < 60K
Upper >61K</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>No, I don’t live in ****ing Bel-Air, but in one of the top 10 richest counties in the country, and frankly, the cost of living here is quite high (the median home value in the city I live in is over $1,000,000)…</p>

<p>We get high and egg the expensive houses and cars in bel-air :)</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>…now this must be the other end of the spectrum jkjk but where do you live?</p>

<p>How on Earth could anyone live on $25k?</p>

<p>Low: <80K
Middle: >80K</p>

<p>Upper: 20Million
in b4 john mccain</p>

<p>Per family or per person?</p>

<p>For family, I’d say uhm… based on my area!!.. I might be off…</p>

<p>Low: <$40K
Lower middle: $40K-60K
Middle: $60K-$100K
Upper middle: $100K-$250K (yes big range… this is primarily where I disagree with a lot of you, whose “upper middle” only goes up to like $150K)
Upper: $250K-$500K
LOLWUT: >$500K</p>

<p>^ Missed Lower Lower class and Upper Lower class</p>

<p>phail</p>

<p>CHILL! :]</p>

<p>Also, wow…</p>

<p>

This is interesting… makes me feel like I’ve been taking stuff for granted!</p>
