How old would i be when I become a doctor?

I am 16 years old. I will graduate this year from high school. I plan on majoring in biochemistry and then, hopefully, go into medical school and become a surgeon. How many years of study do I have ahead of me?
Any information is appreciated.

Undergrad is typically 4 years. Med school is 4 years. General surgical residency is 5 years. Surgical specialties are on top of that (ENT, Plastics, Cardiac, Thorasic, Ortho.)

Top surgical programs for general surgery are 7 years. They build in two research years.

Also, ortho, plastics, and ENT are not typically fellowships on top of general surgery. They are their own surgery programs, though I wouldn’t doubt that there are still some gen surg fellowships for applicants to use as a back door.

God-willing, maybe like 28-30yrs old. Lucky you’ll still have be a youthful guy compared to those old doctors you always see :D
