How rare is a 2400?

<p>Yes, I know it's rare... but exactly how rare?</p>

<p>How many people per year get a 2400? 5? 50? 500?</p>

<p>Any stats? Just want to know.</p>

<p>Supposedly its somewhere between 300 and 500 students in each year's graduating class.</p>

<p>Out of 1.5 million tests taken a year...you do the math.</p>

<p>Its around 1 in 5000 yearly as stated by collegeboard.</p>

<p>So 300 out of 1.5million is reasonable.</p>

<p>rare indeed. but those numbers shouldn't get your hopes down, if you try and have some luck you might end up with a 2400 as well.</p>

<p>Or just take the ACT? 1 in 2500 nation wide got a 36 this past June. And 1 in 1200 got a 36 in Texas.</p>

<p>although i don't really think there's a difference between a 2400 and a 2350.</p>
