I read a thread awhile back stating that a 36 in math was only like 1800 people out of 1.2 million that took the test in 2004. Just wondering if anyone knows how many people took it this year/how many got a 36 on both science and math. Wondering how much it'll help me to get scholarship for college :X (did decent on english/reading, got 34 reading and 32 english)

don’t know about individually but 1:4000 people who take the exam will get a perfect 36 so you’re in a very good percentile once your composite is above 32. 99%

I would actually bet a rather large number of perfect Math scorers do perfect on Science as well (and vice versa, obv). Math and Science scores seem to be linked for a lot of people, at least in my experience.

Well, without studying or even knowing the ACT format going in the test center, I got a 33 M and 36 Sci. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. I’m retaking in 11 days and will let you know when my scores arrive if I managed to pull this one off :P

I did so, along with three other kids at my school. I don’t think it’s as rare as a Composite 36 because, as Kudryakava said above, Math and Science scores are correlated and to get a Composite 36 you most likely had a 35 or 36 in each of those sections.

For me they were correlated, i got 35 on math and science. However when I took the ACT for the first time, i got a 35 math and 31 science and 31 reading, so i think science correlates more with reading based on my scores, and other people’s scores.

^^ thank you so much!

33 R
33 S
34 C

I would definitely say that Math is easier than Science.

I got a 36 on both math and science. o_o The statistic you posted looks a bit sketchy though.

@statlanta

I got a 36 Math and a 25 science :(

Math is 10x easier than Science, and English is 100x easier than Reading!! I had a 6 point difference between Math and Science and a 12 point difference between English and Reading…
