I didnt know where to put this and thought this was the best area.

I was wondering how colleges get your SAT scores. I know you have a choice between sending your ACT score to the college but when you take the SAT and dont get a good score, can you not send them to the college you are applying and instead send the ACT scores?

Or can the colleges request collegeboard to send your scores?

Colleges only get your score if you send it to them. I'm sure you can request to have your score taken off your transcript, like I did.

If you don't send in your SAT, you can send in your ACT scores. Colleges cannot request scores from the college board, they ask you directly to send them.

As for listing only your best score, only do that if they specifically say it's allowed. It'd be better just to list all of them, just in case.

if a college requires ACT + SAT2 scores, then they will see your reasoning test scores. however, i am sure they will consider the ACT much more than your SAT score if it is significantly lower.
