How Schools Notify Acceptance...

No, no, no - you need to save those! When you find a cure for [—], or found your own telecommunications empire, or win the Nobel peace prize, you really want to be able to send copies of those letters back to them with a note saying “Ooops!” :D

Thanks for the info on international notifications, aaralyn!

No problem, and HAHA that’s exactly what my mom said to attempt to cheer me up last year right after I got the emails. xD She said when I grow up and become famous I can go back to the schools and show them what they’re missing. :P

GoChoate goes up at 9 AM on 3/10

You guys are all pulling your hair out trying to find a way to keep busy while you wait for decisions . . . anyone want to take the time to clean up this mess? Go back a page or two to the last time a clean, easy-to-read list was posted and then update it with any new information that’s been added since. You’d be doing us all a favor . . . .

The new (and improved???) list posted above has some significant inaccuracies and omissions, in addition to being ridiculously wordy and hard-to-read. But it also has some useful bits of information on schools not previously mentioned. If someone wants to cull through it and find that useable info, that would be helpful . . . :)

How would one check online for decisions if they applied through SSAT, not through the schools website?

mauilover - SSAT just processes the applications, not the decisions. All decisions come directly from the schools, via mail, email or online notification. Lawrenceville, for example, which uses only the SSAT app, has its own online notification system and will send the necessary login information to all applicants shortly before March 10. (Last year, it was sent on March 8.)

Thank you so much dodgersmom, I was worried as we hadn’t received any login information from the schools we submitted applications to through the SSAT site (and it’s not clear where or how those decisions appear). We were late to the process to be sure.

Most schools send logon info by the end of February. L’ville was the exception last year, but it still sent out an email at the end of the month saying that logon info would be sent prior to March 10.

I would say not to worry about the online notification system unless you haven’t heard anything at all from a school by, I don’t know, the Monday immediately prior to March 10.

Ok guy’s I typed up everything according to what we have so far here School.xlsx
if anyone has anything to add just add it, but PLEASE PLEASE don’t mess up the formatting, add any columns without asking me or anything like that. The blank spots are blank because I don’t have the info, and the n/a is for the mail because mail comes differently everywhere.
Also, please don’t add tiny little details, like adding the specific name for the online application platform (ie. GoChoate!), or that they use Fedex, or that they have an application package.
Please only add schools, or missing important details.

Thank you Ehphant!

Here’s another file for people who don’t have the latest version of excel.
School123.xls
To open, just click on the link, then the big green button. The file should then be download it and you will be free to open it! I may post it in this thread later

Thanks, everyone, for the help!

I think Hotchkiss is available at 9 AM EST, not 5 PM.
