<p>I don’t think so…if I’m remembering correctly, if they said 5 pm they meant 5pm, and adjusted for time zones. However, we’re CST, so it wouldn’t have made a big difference, and I may be completely wrong. I’ll be curious about what others remember.</p>

<p>They’re the same. People use the term snail mail for the slow old US mail (or seemingly slow when you’re waiting for a decision letter!) to differentiate between it and email.</p>

<p>On page 2 someone indicated that Hotchkiss notifies applicants “online”. Do they send you an e-mail with login information? Because as of right now, there is no way to check your Hotchkiss application online - you actually have to call the school to find out if they have received all of your application materials (I just spoke with them earlier this week).</p>

<p>Taft and Loomis are both snail mail, I believe. And supposedly mailed on the 10th, and not before . . . so they wouldn’t arrive until a day or two (or three) later. Overseas applicants get email. So, if you really can’t wait, I guess you could fly to Asia for M10!</p>
