If I don't fulfill the VPA requirement for the UC schools, can I still apply? Or will they not even look at my application?

You can always take a college transferable visual performing art course at your local community college for Spring 2012, since semester long CL courses count as a full year credit in high school.

On the UC Application, just select the community college you will be taking the course at, and select the course as PL. Transcripts are not due until July. =)

Application deadline is in two weeks though, can I take two semester long fine arts classes next semester?

Again, a semester class in community college counts as one whole year in high school ;D You can go to your counselor ans ask him what he thinks. They are there to help students like you.

You would just have to complete the requirement prior to attending the UC, so even if you have not fulfilled it yet, but are able to do so in the spring or even summer 2012 at a community college like Labyrinthus suggested, you will be fine. But they could rescind their offer if you do not follow through and complete it with a passing grade prior to attending.

What everyone else said. You’ll be fine as long as you just say you plan to take it later at a community college. I was in your position last year, but guess what? (if you didn’t already know) Courses at community college count as college credits as well! - awesome surprise when I came in this year! :D
