How selective is Boston University?

I wanted to know how selective Boston University is since I'm interested in going there. Last time I checked the admission/acceptance rate was around 56-58% but I checked recently and it's about 49%. If you guys can help me with this, then it'll be very helpful for me! :) Thanks!

when you say “selective”, it’s really a matter of perspective and a question of what other colleges you’re comparing BU to.

Your file please…

Sorry for not being clear. . . Well just overall or in general without comparing it to other schools. From my perspective, it seems slightly selective :/

Selectivity is relative. The best way to determine your chances is to look at the stats of admitted students and see where you fall. BU releases their common data set each year, which is your your best source for this information.

Part C is probably the most useful for determining your chances for freshman admission.
