I'm a freshmen currently looking to transfer. I'm was looking at Marymount Manhattan's BA in Theatre Performance program and was wondering how selective it is. How many people audition vs. how many people they accept?

Bumppp =)))

Marymount Manhattan accepts quite a bit of people. Any program is selective, but MM has quite a bit more theater majors in the whole department than most. All in all, when I met with the head of the department, he said (between every theater-type major, ba/bfa acting/bfa acting mt minor/etc) it gets up to about 700.

To clairfy, that’s how many they have in the program now overall (Freshman-Seniors), NOT how many they accept per year. My bad!

aligirl10522 – I think a quick phone call to Marymount should answer this question. I think the numbers quoted above are way off – they issued 16 degrees in Acting and 75 in Drama/Theatre Arts in '08 according to the statistics issued by the Department of Education (that the school provides). Hope this helps.
