I know that the admissions rate for Georgetown as a whole is 21% (according to CollegeBoard), but I was wondering what the acceptance rate was for McDonough undergrads specifically. I've heard it's a lot more selective than the college. True? Any thoughts? Thanks!

That's weird, on the Gtown site the acceptance rate for overall is 20% and McDonough is 22%

Here you go if you wanna see: Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions

Agree to that_girl, but look to see that to decrease in the coming years... my prediction and of course opinion

i agree with sophomore12, with the MSB's new building scheduled to open in summer 2009, the desirability of the business school should increase dramatically

2 Things:

1) I'm at Gtown this week for a summer program and the business school's new building is looking really good and I can totally see it being done on schedule(if not earlier) for 2009 as they say.

2) As part of the program we went to a admissions lecture and she told us that last years acceptance rate was 18% FOR ALL 4 SCHOOLS...i think it used to be different but they changed it this year

I have actually heard 17.8% overall from an admissions dean (not Deacon). That's good, it makes my degree worth more ;)

The thing is they didn't increase the enrollment but the number of applicants is getting more and more each year. I bet this coming year's acceptance rate will be even lower...we all get a birth peak war to fight >~<
