How selective are Northwestern Uni and Northeastern Uni? I can't seem to find the class profile on their sites. Thank you!

Visit college navigator and search for the two schools. Click the admissions tab to see the stats. In a nutshell, Northeastern’s 75th percentile (top) is equal to Northwestern’s 25th percentile (bottom).

please don’t feed the ■■■■■■

^Ditto. NU is more selective than Northeastern University.

Don’t care which is more selective. Read. I didn’t ask that; I asked how selective they are. So fail.

Nevermind. Everyone wants to be a dingbat now-a-days.

beatfreaks, selectivity is all relative, thus the response that NU is more selective answered exactly what you were looking for. If one were to say NU is not selective (compared to Harvard) and Northeastern is extremely selective (compared to a community college) they would both be valid statements because selectivity can only be interpreted through comparison. Therefore, you fail.

I’m looking for numbers genious as I said “I CAN’T FIND THE PROFILE ON THIER SITES” and you’re a noob so therefore you fail. ;)

[Northeastern University Undergraduate Admissions > Apply > Academic Profile](http://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/apply/academicprofile.html)

[2008-09 First-time, first-year (freshman) admission, Common Data Set - Northwestern University](http://www.ugadm.northwestern.edu/commondata/2008-09/c.htm)

see above. It was actually not hard to find on their sites.
Bottom line: Northeastern is a middling undergraduate institution; no more, no less. It’s fine. Period. Northwestern is one of the top national universities, on an academic peer level with places like Dartmouth (of the smaller schools), Cornell (of the larger) and Johns Hopkins (of the in between).
Northwestern is one of the most selective schools in the country; Northeastern is not.

I don’t even understand why an applicant would be mentioning the two in the same breath, unless it is because Northwestern is a “reach” for him/her and s/he is looking at Northeastern as a “safety.”

beatfreaks,

I am not familiar with Northeastern website yet it took me less than 15 seconds to go from [Northeastern University](Home - Northeastern University) to
[Northeastern University Undergraduate Admissions > Apply > Academic Profile](http://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/apply/academicprofile.html). It’s also very easy to find Northwestern’s class profile (see the post above). That you couldn’t find either one is problematic. You’ll need far more research skills to survive in some of the college classes.

lol beatfreaks i don’t know how you’re gonna apply for colleges without basic research skills…good luck. And fyi Northwestern is known as NU…only northeastern is NEU

dude, you can look up the selectivity rates easily, for example US news. don’t worry about NU though… you ain’t getting in. actually, given your profile (top 25%, 20 ACT, arrogance), you ain’t getting into a top school, period. i know you’re bitter, but you will be better off in life not being bitter about it. good luck!

LOL someone must’ve gotten rejected at their top choice schools Lawlz. Legacy ftwzzzzzzz.

Why the **** would you even mention northwestern and northeastern in the same sentence, you degenerate prick!? Crawl back into the cupboard your parents shoved you in as a child and keep thumbing through the mobile home catalogue!

Unless your grandfather was a huge contributor to the school, legacy isn’t going to help you too much.

Nope, NU has always been my top choice as well as many of us. Really though, stop being bitter about your fate so that you can begin to accept yourself. A healthy attitude is necessary to be happy in life. All the best to you!

“How selective are Northwestern Uni and Northeastern Uni? I can’t seem to find the class profile on their sites.”

The class profile is in the viewbook…reading comprehension skills buddy.

Wow.

Not just a â– â– â– â– â– -

â– â– â– â– â– with a nasty streak.

Just know that because you are a URM — whatever your definition of that term is — you will probably have a better future than some of us. You will not be more qualified than most of us. But you will have an advantage. Try living with that.

Stop feeding the â– â– â– â– â– ! It feasts on your naivete!

^I just find it funny that the ■■■■■isn’t even giving it his best effort b/c he contradicts himself in one statement, plus i’m bored, why not?
