I'm really in a difficult place right now, second semester senioritis and all. It occured to me the other day i'm really dissapointed with what i've done the last 3 years. I am currently ranked in only the top 19% of my class. I say only because just this year i started having a more obsessive attitude over my grades and got straight A's. I feel kinda bad about this, seeing as how it was so easy i could have been doing it the last 3 years. I've been under a lot of stress and i'm almost ALWAYS in the nurse's office. I've had to go during my classes a few times because my pulse is ridiculously high (127). Other than that, i don't do much of anything but my schoolwork and attempting to finish my scholarship stuff. I don't feel like doing anything, but at the same time i want to just get everything over with so i can just graduate. I also decided i'm going to take a break before i go to college. Everytime i've told someone this, they're like ''make sure it doesn't last too long, a lot of people say that and never go back!'' I know i'm not the only one, i've noticed my classmates can't be bothered with work or actual effort, so it makes me feel better. If i would have known it would be like this senior year i would have done way, way better.

looks like i’m just talking to myself here :/

This is a down version of senioritis to me. My analytic: You were so overwhelmed with stress in the last three years that when you became a senior, you got the mindset that it is basically over and are in much less stress. In some cases this start in junior year for some.

But while senior year is over and as you look back, don’t tell yourself what you could have done differently but what you will change in the future. Good luck finishing strong.

Thanks. I’ve been trying really hard to stay strong, but it’s especially difficult since i don’t have any friends or family to depend on for support. It’s pretty hard not to feel hopeless.

Well, for the past 3 years, you’ve been working hard to get into colleges. I’m pretty sure you’ve been accepted to at least one so far so why not prepare for college? That’s my mentality right now so I’ve begun studying for my APs to earn some credits. I also started to read during my free time so I can prepare for college. My English teacher told my class to overcome senioritis and keep working throughout the year. College is much harder so if you end up not doing ANY work for the remainder of the year and then go to college, all the work you’ll do will slap you real hard in the face. So don’t be hopeless and start preparing for college! Good luck! :)

^^ Same goes for the people who want to “skip” a year.
