<p>I'd love some insight from students, those already accepted to colleges, and even admissions workers.</p>
<p>In your opinion, or based off of what you have seen, what is the best way to fill out the "Activities" section of the Common App? Is it best to put only one activity in each of the 12 sections. What if multiple activities fall into the same category?</p>
<p>I'll give you an example:</p>
<p>Let's say I do community service, but I have 11 other ECs to mention, so I lump all of community service into one section. Now, here's where it gets a little technical:</p>
<p>(Keep in mind this is a theoretical example.) Should I write "Community service director; Pen Pals member; Bread and Roses leader" in the "Position Held" line. What should I use to separate them (Comma, semicolon, etc.)?</p>
<p>How do you do it? Do you mention multiple roles per section, or stick to one per line? Does adding multiple roles to each section seem obnoxious / EC-padding?</p>
