How should I make AP Art History flashcards?

Our textbook is Gardner's and I'm also getting the Annotated Mona Lisa and possibly the REA book with the CD. What is the best way to study for the test? How many cards per chapter do I need and what kind of info should I put on it? Title, artist, medium, significance, date, time period, style of art, etc. etc.?

Thanks!

My APAH teacher makes us do notecards on all the pictures in the gardner’s book. We have to write the title, author, date, location, patron, materials, technique, historical context, description, and big picture, and function on our notecards for each image. And we also have to put in the picture of the image on our notecards too.

REA book with the CD is amazing! You should get it if you have not already. It is basically very thorough lectures on the art. It will help greatly with your notecard making.

There’s an app for that. If you have an iPod/iPhone, you should search for “flashcards” in the App Store. It should be easy to find one that you can put both pictures and words on. As for the price, you can download it for a couple of bucks, at most. It’s about the same price as an actual pack of notecards.
