Hey guys, so I am beginning on an essay for Elon, and you can use 550 words. which is just a page single spaced. So normally I'd do a normal 5 paragraph essay, intro, 3 body, conclusion. But do I have enough space to do so? should I shorten my intro and conclusion and do 5, or should I do 3 or 4 paragraphs?

College Essays ARE NOT like the ones you do for school. You do not need an intro, 3 body and conclusion. Yale has some great essay advice on their website that would apply to all colleges.
You definitely want to avoid the typical five paragraph structure. It will seem too much like a school assigned essay. Do what allows you to showcase your personality and voice. A good place to start is to write the way you tell the story.
