How should I spend my senior year?

I've taken 5 AP so far (10th: World History / 11th: English Lang & Comp, U.S. History, Human Geography, and Chemistry) and I've recently signed up for 5 additional AP for my senior year (Biology, Environmental Science, European History, Statistics, and English Lit). However, I'm a very athletic person and I plan to play volleyball my first semester and soccer second semester. My concern is, will my classes be too rigorous and time consuming for me to be able to do any extra curricular activity? If so, should I drop one AP class in order to keep a balance?

Thanks.

Many will disagree with me on this, but I think having too many AP classes is overrated. A few is great, but too many causes many issues to arise later. My most common example is your Chemistry class - It is great that you took it and if you major in theater in college, it won’t matter, but if you choose to major in Chemistry, you may have to still take Chemistry I again depending on the institution as many don’t want you in Chemistry 2 just based on an AP score. Even those that allow it are going to assume you have had ‘their Chemistry I’ and they may focus on things your AP class did not.

The other thing is that 5 AP classes at once will no doubt require a lot of homework and extra time and you are right to be concerned about ‘having a life’ outside of the books. If you are truly a studious person, then go for it, but if you are someone who likes to do things outside of school as well as athletics, you may be setting yourself up to make your Senior year a bit more miserable than you might like and you would regret that later - The Senior year is an important memory for you and I’d hate to think you would only remember it for having to stay up all night finishing the Stats homework.
