Got assigned to cardinal as a transfer (fresh/soph) and was wondering how social cardinal gardens was....i see the dorm as a primary area to make friends, and was wondering how many freshman live there since i hear upperclassmen are less social

thanks!

-also, anyone know if any freshman dorms are still open?

I lived there last year as a sophomore. Honestly, not many freshman live there and it’s apartments so it’s not really social as far as people who don’t already know each other. That said, living quarters are not the only place to meet people but if it bothers you do reassignment. Reassignment is actually how me and my roomies ended up in Cardinal Gardens (which was our first choice) so it does work. I’m sure you’ll have no problem especially if you don’t have a selected roommate.

alright thanks so much! im going to try to get into a dorm, or at least webb

Luna pretty much answered this question, but Cardinal Gardens really isn’t social since its mostly Sophomores and up, already living with their friends. Apartment style housing really isn’t the best for freshman, and I’d look to do reassignment (which you have already stated you are doing) if you’re looking for that traditional dorm experience.
