i got webb tower 9th floor as a transfer.....i really wanted a dorm since i will be a freshman in credit standing. Is webb as social as dorms like trojan, pardee, marks tower? should i fill out reassignment?

As others have already mentioned on other threads, every year a new set of students live in the housing unit and making such general predictions is difficult. In addition, this is the first year that freshman will be living in the lower floors of Webb. The upper floors will be sophomores who had great lottery numbers (completely surprised that a transfer would get a spot here when they went the first day of the lottery for current rising sophomore students) and selected housing with their friends last winter.

Webb Tower is not very social at all, especially in comparison to any freshman dorm.

even though it is now a freshman residential college?? do you think it will be slightly more social than before?

As a transfer, our D LOVED Webb & was the envy of her friends who lived in other “freshmen” dorms throughout campus. It has a nice living room, kitchen and bathroom shared by only 4 people. She still could socialize at the other dorms & it was so convenient to the gym, which is right across the way. I think you will definitely be the envy of all your friends and find you LOVE Webb!

The freshman floors will be more social. I would imagine you are not on one of those floors. The sophomore floors are not social. I did not even know the names of hardly anyone on my floor when I lived there.

Webb, apparently, is a VERY NICE place to stay relative to others. My eldest was there for his most recent year as a sophomore. His brother was assigned Webb as a freshman, but my eldest didn’t think that was a good idea for freshman…thought he needed to be somewhere more social. Unfortunately, with 2 kids at USC, financial concerns take precidence. Son 2 just switched to Cardinal Gardens, which is the only freshman housing that doesn’t require a full meal plan. As I understand it, that housing is considered very quiet. But son 2 is quiet, so I think it will work out fine. Son 1, who is Mr. Social Fratboy, disapproves.
