How Strong Am I for USNA (The Naval Academy)

<p>I know that no one can tell you your chances for a service academy, so I am curious as to if people believe I am a strong candidate for admissions. I am also a NROTC candidate. Here are my stats. </p>

<p>Academics :
690 Math 650 Critical Reading
3.5 GPA
School doesn't have a class rank (are school though is best in the state)
AP's (European History, and Government & Politics)</p>

<p>EC's:
200+ volunteer hours
Certified EMT (member of the local first aid squad)
Boy Scout (ASPL and will make Eagle in march)
Model UN officer
Head of the Ultimate Frisbee Club
Lifeguard
Camp Counselor </p>

<p>Athletics:
Varsity Football (10th Grade)
Varsity Cross Country (11th and 12th Grade)
Varsity Winter Track (9th-12h Grade)
Varsity Spring Track (9th-12th Grade) will be captain in the spring</p>

<p>I have already passed the DoDMERB and CFA.</p>

<p>Any comments are appreciated...</p>

<p>My son is in the process of applying to the USNA and based upon the research we have done, I think you look strong. You need to get a nomination from your congressman or one of your senators. The important thing is to make sure it is the right fit for you and that it is not just a free education, minimum 5 years and then out. They want to find people committed to service. You should be looking at ROTC as well.</p>
