would it be fair to say the finance department at BC is Top 10 or top 15 in the nation?

Anybody know?

would it be fair to say the finance department at BC is Top 10 or top 15 in the nation?

I wouldn't be afraid at all to say it is top 10 at all. It's located in Boston, which is know for its financing (next to NYC, of course). BC is also a big of a magnet because of the schools in Massachusetts and the employers that drop by to recruit at MIT, Harvard, etc. BC can hold its name and there is a buzz regarding it.

It's no Wharton or Stern, but its real damn good. I was looking at some of their classes and they have some offerings in the basics of venture capital, hedge funds, etc. A lot of class catalogs I've looked at for business schools usually keep it nice and stupid.

Then again, I am a felon.

The reason I ask is that I didn't get any aid for BC's business school

And it is really really expensive

My dad doesn't want to pay the $50,000+ a year for me to go there

I have to convince him that it's worth it

I know BC's finance dept. is great, but is it worth all that money?

That's what I want to know.

Will I most likely get a great high paying job afterwards?

52,000 a year at BC or 33,000 a year at Penn State?

PLEASE HELP

Whether or not it's worth it is somewhat dependent upon what your other options are. What are those other options?

BC's Carroll School of Management 52,000 a year

Lehigh's Business school 48,000 a year

Penn State's Smeal 33,000 a year

Which option is the best?

Why?

Can your dad afford it?

If the answer to question number 1 is yes, go onto the following statement.

Go to BC.

GodSend can you please explain why? I would appreciate it

Yes my parents can afford it

Lost of BC grads on Wall Street.
But only go if your family can afford it.

^^

But do you know if those BC grads on Wall street came from the business school or did they major in something quantitative like mathematics in the arts/sciences

Cause I heard wall street and other big companies in general prefer those who majored in something quantative over finance
