<p>LOL - Lorem, I have had exactly the same experience. And I actually went back and checked to see if I had somehow posted in my sleep enough to move out of Junior Member status. Then I realized it was because of the green squares. Fortunately I’ve only been asked for essay review and I do proofreading for a living, so I probably won’t mess that up too bad ;).</p>
<p>Yes, LoremIpsum, my “senior member” status combined with (one assumes) my elevated green count got me a PM today and three or four essays to read, from someone who at first glance appears to be a reasonably good writer. I’ve helped a couple of kids in the past when I’ve happened to be in the neighborhood when someone shouted out, “Help! Will someone please read my essay?!?!” I have been trying in recent posts to live up to my status as a CC *</p>

<p>My own kids’ essays were so out of the box, I have no idea what an essay “ought to” be. Maybe someone could send me a few good ones, so I would know? I don’t want to steer anyone wrong.</p>

<p>I found the list quite interesting. I was reading essays on the same topics just an year ago!</p>

<p>LI- no worries. I’ve been hitting the “little people” for quite a while now, and actaully repping posts that I thought were meaningful/helpful, as the greenies were intended. Go figure!</p>
<p>Based on tonight’s feedback, Jym, use that superpower wand of yours with great caution. It is becoming evident that there is ultimately a price to be paid for these string of sea-green-coated pearls: increased PMs for assistance by panicky teens. Some recipients may ultimately regret having received your repeated bounty!</p>

<p>Actually, Tex, I did do a lot of research on your posts over the year or so you came onto my radar, and I find you to be very astute and figured you would know a good essay when you saw one.</p>
