I was recently admitted into Rice via ED and my plan is to major in cognitive sciences and be a pre-med student. I understand that Rice is a pretty rigorous school and I was wondering if any current students could give any tips/info about succeeding and one day matriculating into medical school.
I think that as a freshman I'll have Calculus, Bio w. lab, Chem w. lab, and Cognitive Psychology (if I score a 4 on my AP exam) and then either Comm 103 or an LPAP class.

When I was there, Bio seemed pretty easy and Calculus seems okay but chemistry seemed to be really hard

I think you should relax and enjoy your high school year as a senior. You will have plenty of opportunities for advising, counseling and planning at O-week. ;)

I second anxiousmom's statements.

For all current students at rice:

could you tell me how easy it is to get good grades at Rice (granted you study hard and whatnot)? I'm looking into pre-med too and I realize that it is absolutely vital that you get the best grades you can in order to get into medical school...are the sciences typically very hard at Rice? Like are there only a certain amount of A's or something?
