Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and I just want to share with you one the strategies that's really helped me confront procrastination (it's an ongoing battle).

There are two main keys:
1. Chunk down your work: it's very hard for people to motivate themselves to do huge tasks. If I have "Write term paper" on my to-do list, I'll do everything else I can think of before I do that. It just seems too large. If I don't think I can finish a task, some large part of me doesn't want to start it. So to combat this feeling, I don't ever put the whole project. I pick a specific part of it I can complete in 50 minutes. Instead of "write term paper," I write "outline introduction" or "research first body paragraph." These are much easier to get myself to do.

Set an end time: when I sit down to work, I know that I'm going to sit there and work for 50 minutes. No matter how much I get done, even if it's nothing, after 50 minutes I'm getting up. This one has been gold for me.

Give those a try and please add on if you have any other tips you think will help.
Thanks!
