How to Celebrate Getting Accepted

Let's hear it...

Bring a battery-powered iPod dock to school, gather all your friends, and start dancing to “Celebrate Good Times” at full volume until you get shut down by a teacher. The punishment will be WORTH IT.

first ill yell my head off. then ill tell my football coach how terrible our team was, and im glad im gone. then id tell all my friends lets go to taco bell. then once my whole family knows we’ll all go to hometown buffet eat alot. then go home sleep with a smileo n my face

It’s a good time to start practicing quiet modesty in the face of tremendous good news and privilege. And if the news isn’t positive, it’s an equally good time to remember that acceptance or rejection does not - should not - tell you who you are.

I swear to God, I will buy my entire class a taco if they come to Taco Bell with me to celebrate. That. Would. Be. EPIC!

By the way, Jyun, where are you applying?

parlabane way to be ehtical but id be too happy.

koni- andover, sps, deerfield, exeter, choate, peddie,a nd loomis

u?

Just Exeter. I love it so! <3

I agree with Parlabane to a certain extent. My friends care about my application and would feel disappointed and left out if I didn’t tell them the result. Plus, they’ll take anything as a reason to celebrate/overdose on candy and tacos. XDDD However, it’s not like I’ll be going to random people screaming “I GET TO GO TO AN ELITE PRIVATE BOARDING SCHOOL AND YOU DONT! HAHAHAHAHA!” It’ll be more like “Hey Kayla, guess what? I got in! Let’s listen to music and go get some Taco Bell!”

well i wasnt planning on doing that either… just my footballcoach b.cc he really tried to hinder my app to bs. anyways only one school?

Good point, Kali3000. The iPod thing was a joke. I guess it didn’t come across that way. XDDD I will invite my friends over and have Taco Bell, though. I hate getting into trouble.

What’s up with u guys with TACO BELLS!! I never ate that…lol

You’ve never eaten it? That explains why you don’t understand.
If I may be so bold, there is one fast food chain that is superior to Taco Bell… IN AND OUT BURGER! If I get in, the second thing I’m going to do after celebrating is cry because I hear they don’t have In-and-Out on the East coast. I don’t know how I’ll make it.

I’ve never been to Taco Bell or In and Out burger… is it REALLY that good?

I guess I’m not alone…

I think the main reason I like Taco Bell and In-and-Out burger is because they remind me of my brother. When the weather is warm we always make these random trips to Taco Bell/In-and-Out/Chipotle and just talk. It’s one of my favorite things to do, since I love my brother, and now that he’s in college we don’t spend much time together anymore, so even just walking through the parking lot of places like that brings me good memories.
Wow, that sounded unquestionably cheesy! XDDD But seriously, I’m really going to miss my brother if I get in to boarding school.

well I would probably start crying, and then my parents will think that I didn’t get in and then I’ll smile and jump up and down on the couch screaming “I GOT IN!!! I GOT IN!!!” and then I would call my three best friends and tell them, and then I would start writing a list of everything I need to take and eat a block of chocolate! I’ve always wanted Taco Bell! I wish we had it here in Aus!

I would walk around with my mouth hanging open for like an hour and be unresponsive to anyone talking to me. xD No, in all seriousness, I would SQUEAL. AS;DKFJA;SDLKFJASL;DKJF!!! <— Thoughts going through my head at the time, definitely. 8D And then I’d call all my friends and have an epic sleepover where we dance the whole night and look at catalogues and be nerdishly happy. But probably cry too. Because I’d miss them tons. ;_;

OH AND ALSO. You know how Fred and George were chanting ‘he got off, he got off’ in HP 5 when Harry got off from the hearing? I’d be like that during class, except saying ‘i got in, i got in’ instead.

…And then I’d wake up. XD

ALSO, what is this In-And-Out you speak of? This East-Coaster has heard of it and its amazingness and didn’t know that anything could be better than FUDDRUCKERS! :'D

Basically, it’s this burger joint that serves 3 basic dishes - burger, fries, and smoothies/soda. But it’s all delicious. EVERY SINGLE location looks EXACTLY the same (it’s actually kind of creepy…), and it has a hidden menu (Google it, it’s amazing). I’ve never even heard of Fuddruckers, what’s that?

By the way, Tuesdays, your posts make me giggle. This is a good thing.

Oh wow. WHYYYY does the East Coast not have this stuff. All we have is…snow. Which is quite fun and all, but not very nommy. I TRIED ONCE. Hahahaa ahem. And Fuddruckers is only the awesomest fast food slash diner place ever. Back me up other East Coasters! It has like, carousels and jungle gyms and giant fries. INDOORS.

Why thank you kindly. :'D! Your posts are pretty cool too.

i’ve heard of it and it sounds good…but we have…friendly’s? lol idk what’s an east coast only thing? AU BON PAIN!!! abp=meh luvv ^_^
