How would you celebrate if you got into your top choice boarding school?

^

Celebrate? More like stress even more about the things I will have to do to prepare for BS. But I would probably treat myself to a huge slice of cake or something.

I’ve imagined this moment for so long, man. I’d probably break down sobbing.

lots of ice cream

Umm…mine is probably really mundane, but go out to the movies with my friends and family, maybe and have dinner at a nice-ish restaurant (like P.F. Chang’s or something)…

@bicerip‌ Totally gonna wear a new school jacket on the first day back from March break

@HistoryGeek40 YES! I don’t have March break, but as soon as it’s decided, I am buying all da clothes. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m going to go all out at the school stores. Bye bye, wallets. :stuck_out_tongue:

You do realize that most of us at boarding school do not actually wear the school branded apparel?

The only place I would wear the school apparel is not at BS. I would probably wear it at my current school just to rub my superiority in other people’s faces.

God yes! But most people at my school wouldn’t know what I was talking about, so…

Ha! I can just see someone wearing a Taft sweatshirt and someone else being like, “My favorite president was Lincoln, dude.”

Hahah, stargirl.

For me, I’d probably hold off until the huge celebrations until AFTER I receive the FA letter.

Same here. :frowning:

I’m basically asking for two acceptances for each school, because even if I got into all of my schools, I wouldn’t be able to go without the amount of FA I need. :frowning: :frowning:

I’m worried that I’ll be accepted with no aid. Or just waitlisted because there’s no aid.

Thankfully, I need no aid (it will still be a stretch for my family, which I’m quite worried about :-S ), but I’m also worried at the fact that although I got an amazing SSAT score, my grade in math literally sucks…

Sameee arghh I’m caving into the pressure… :-&

If I’m accepted but with not as much FA my parents are determined to make it work, but I’m still hoping that we get around the same amount of FA as we asked for.

@whimsicalwhims: Out of curiosity, what was your (overall) SSAT score? If you feel comfortable sharing?

@thelittleswimmer It was 99 percentile, which I was ECSTATIC about, but again, my grade in math is absolutely horrible terrible.
