How to convert a 100 point scale to a 4.0 gpa scale?

My school uses a 100 point scale for each class, for example:

Math avg: 93
Science average: 97
English avg: 95

Etc. I was wondering how you would find your 4.0 scale gpa when it’s like that.

Also how would I calculate a weighted gpa?
In my school weights are
Regular (regents level): 1pt weight
Honors/College Level: 3pt weight
AP courses: 6pt weight

You don’t, in general. Most colleges/programs want your GPA to match the transcript. If they ask you to convert (and this is very rare) they will tell you how to convert.

If you want to recalculate your GPA on a 4.0 scale just for giggles, here is one converter:

Thank you, that’s good information to know. However, just to clarify when you do the conversion with the link would you calculate your gpa on the 100pt scale first and see where it watches? Or would you convert each class average to a 4.0 scale and find that gpa?

You would need to convert class by class. If all classes do not carry the same credit, then you would need to adjust for the credit differences.

Ok thanks!
