How to convince my parents to let me go to boarding school?

I've been trying to convince my parents to let me go the the Colorado Rocky Mountain School for a long time now, but my dad absolutely refuses. He says "he doesn't believe in anything but public education", but the school is my dream. I've been rock climbing for 3 years now, and living in Kansas, climbing isn't readily available without driving WAY out of the way. I'm thinking about becoming a certified mountain guide after college, but at this point, I barely have any experience outside an indoor gym.

I know one of the issues is probably money, but I think we could figure that out if they would just consider the idea.

I'm a junior now, so I don't have much time left.

Any advice?

Discuss your future, the fact that you have little time left, and do whatever you can to show them why it matters. Strike up a bargain, like working all summer or getting straight A’s for the rest of the year. Make them think it matters, and that you’re willing to fight to get there and do well there.
