How to cram for Saturday's ACT?

I've taken practice tests and gotten a high enough practice composite score. I'm concerned about writing. What would be the best plan for the next few days? Just writing a few practice ones a day? I've researched "how to get a 12" and I'm hoping for a 10, but would be happy with an 8. How should I prepare?

Yes, write a practice essay each day but not on Friday. You should rest.

Follow the boring 5 point method. Intro paragraph with the last sentence being your thesis. Topic sentences read well. So if someone only read certain sentences it would be similar to this.

Thus, I believe high schools should allow magazines in their libraries because they balance education with fun, they encourage students to cultivate their dreams, and they promote the healthy habit of reading. (Last sentence of intro)

Magazines are an excellent outlet for the energy that is locked in students and they allow students to enjoy school. (First sentence of second paragraph)

Magazines allow students to discover their interests and help them discover their dreams. (First sentence of third paragraph)

Magazines promote students to develope the excellent habit of loving to read. (First sentence of 4th paragraph)

Although some opponents of magazines say that they should be banned because they are not academic, they fail to realize that students need not only to learn but to enjoy learning. (First sentence of 5th paragraph: rebuttal of counter argument)

It is vital to students education that high school allow magazines. (First sentence of conclusion)

For on the words of David Allen, “Men who read, know a little. But men who love to read become brilliant.” (Last sentence of conclusion)

Use quotes! Make them up! You are not judged on how factual your essay is. Use good examples. Use Adlai Stevenson as a generic person with which you can make up any example. Utilize people like Rosa Parks, Ray Bradbury, MLK, Tshering Tobgay, atilla the Hun, etc.

You must have:

An introduction that leads up to the thesis, three solid points with personal examples and historical examples and quotes, a conclusions that draws together neatly. Consider ending in quote you make up to enhance you point, consider creating a Chinese proverb.
