I was fortunate enough to be accepted to a good summer program near where I live. Problem is, it takes place during the time of another program I applied to. The decision for the second program comes out in June but I have to confirm my acceptance to the first program by the end of April. Frankly, I like the first program but I want to go to the second program more. However, I don't want to turn down my current acceptance, wait and find out I'm rejected to the other program. At the same time, I don't want to accept the offer right now, get accepted to the program I really want to go to and feel obligated to attend the first one. I've considered emailing the coordinators and letting them know about my situation but I don't want to be rude and I'm scared they might take my offer away. What should I do?
