How to fill out Activities section in Common App?

After picking the type of activity, it says “Position/Leadership description and organization name, if applicable”. If it is a club within my school, do I have to write the name of my school? Do I have to specify the grades of my leadership positions?

It then asks “Please describe this activity, including what you accomplished and any recognition you received, etc.” Does this have to be in complete sentences or just short phrases of what I did, separated by commas? For example, for Student Council I wrote “Devising and working school events, Fundraising, Increasing school spirit, Voicing student body’s ideas”.

Should I put National Honor Society as Academic or Community Service? What about Spanish National Honor Society?

Should I list activities that I have leadership positions in as more important?

You wouldn’t have to put the name of your school, just the club name.
I don’t think you have to specifiy your years of leadership position, just the years you participated overall.
What you said sounds exactly like what you should put the in the description section. You can only have a certain numbet of characters so short, lists are perfect.
For NHS I’d put community, that’s what I did for myself and BETA Club. I didn’t put Spanish NHS on my app because I ran out of room but academic or language(if there is a language option) should be fine! Sorry I can’t remember all the choices I already submitted my common app school.
And you should put whatever you feel is more important to you, that’s what the college wants to know.
