I’ve been accepted into undergraduate aerospace engineering in UCLA (I’m an international student) and though I just finished the housing application, it looks like May 3 is the deadline to confirm a roommate. Obviously, I don’t know anyone in UCLA since I’m international, but how does one go about finding a roommate? Any current students with advice on how they found their roommates (or just any advice in general?) What if you don’t find one in time?
No need to worry, UCLA will hook you up with others who haven’t chosen roommate. Probably not many freshmen come in with a roommate preference, especially for a highly selective school like UCLA.
What are your preferences? My D was looking for someone admitted to the same school as she is. Look at the housing site and on FB page. She emailed couple girls and one of them had a lot in common with her so they submitted applications as roommates.
I want to room with someone who is a bit more work-oriented than social, and a non-smoker and not super messy. Other than that, i’m not really picky. Could you please link me to the fb page your daughter used? thank you
