My score is a 1340/1600 with a 690 CR+W and 650 M. I would like to get at least a 1450 with a 700 CR+W and a 750 M. I’ve tried Khan Academy but I don’t feel its working for me as some of the problems are harder and more time consuming than what you would find on the actual test. Any advice on prep strategies, books, etc.
Also, I got a 6 on both the reading and writing on the essay but only a 2 on analysis?!?! How is this possible? Thought I did a good job.
I personally think Khan Academy is really helpful because of the big question bank. Some people claim that Khan is easier than the actual test, but then opinions may differ. Do you have a lot of time? Then start reading a lot. If not, start studying with a tutor who is an expert on raising scores or buy a book digging into the concepts of and analyzing the SAT (if you’re having trouble with that). You can also buy a book with only practice tests if you’re really short on time and start analyzing your wrong answers (this is where you study the solution part of the book, not just check how many you get right).
