I asked a professor whom I did research with for a rec letter (gonna use it as an additional rec) back in September, and I planned to ask her to mail it after I completed my apps. However, I've kinda procrastinated on college essays since then, and I really doubt I'll be able to finish until around the last week of December.

How can I get my professor to mail my recommendation right now? Do I just ask her to include my commonapp ID on the letter? Where do I even find this ID?

I'm so lost D:.

Thanks for the help!

You can add this person as a teacher in the common app School Forms section. Once you add him, you can select him as a teacher for each school that you want to track him as a recommendation. You have to record his email when you add him, and he can respond to that email that he prefers to send in hardcopy, or he can do the whole thing online as well. If he does it online, he can copy/paste his writeup into the online form. If he or you want him to do it hardcopy, then you can print out the teacher form online (you can find the teacher form at commonapp.org). You fill out your information on the online form, then print it out. Make a envelop for him for every school you want him to send a copy. Have him fill out the teacher PDF form the rest of the way. He can print out his letter and attach it to the hardcopy pdf and then mail it in the envelope you provided him. Make sure it is as easy as possible for him to just print out his letter and drop it in the mail. (correct address, stamped, etc.)
