Ive taken 4 practice tests, and on the math section for every one of them, I always run out of time. It seems as through simply taking practice tests isnt enough to speed up. Any ideas?

4 practice tests are nothing. Do an hour of math practice tests every day for a month and get back to us.

What score are you getting? If you aren't good enough at math, you aren't expected to finish, or do well. Not everyone can get a 36 (contrary to the belief here on CC).

If you are really good at math (in school) and you are still running out of time, you just need to do more practices and get faster and faster.

Are you taking official practice tests?

"4 practice tests are nothing. Do an hour of math practice tests every day for a month and get back to us."

Where do you get that many practice tests? I only have 4 more

Personally i think the math on ACT is pretty easy , it is a lot more straight-forward than the SAT Math. Try not to use the calculator too much, and don't make silly mistakes. Read each question carefully.

First time i got a 29, due to silly mistakes, and because i checked my answers(wasted time). Then i got a 36 on the next one. And this was with vritually no prep on the content, just learned to not use a calculator. And this is a person that got a 650 on SAT Math.

Skip the hard questions.

You have a minute per question and some of them take much less then a minute to finish. Therefore, you accumulate more time for the other questions. Also, questions that seem confusing really aren't, don't try to read too much into those types of questions....I used to get really frustrated doing that.

I also need tips on this section. I wanted a 36 on this section and ended up with only a 32.
