I decided to tackle my GE's in my first two years of college. I want to get an internship in Finance or Econ but I have only taken micro & macro Econ and a financial accounting course. I have also taken business law as well as 'English' Business Law (Law of England and Wales).

I feel the financial accounting is the only background in finance I have, does that mean I am unqualified for a finance position where I will actually learn about finance and economics?

Right now I am trying to intern for a position in an accounting department for a company that requires skills to identify economic trends and validate forecasts. Though with my skill set am I under qualified?

I am also applying as a part-time summer job described as a secretary position. They call it "Assitant to Senior Financial Adviser" for First American Investments. I thought it is sketchy because there isn't much about them online except a legal report. Also my friend that works in MLMarketing with Primerica said that they do stuff for first american. At this point I really do think its just a secretary position.

Do you guys think doing multilievel marketing for primerica will be useful my friend is getting his series 7 and says that he learned his stuff from them though I believe in his position he got very lucky.
