How to get into UCLA?

so, since were on a forum im not going to talk like an enducated individual -___-
ok so im a sophomore in highschool from new jersey. i REALLY want to go to ucla...i have such a desire and ive wanted to since 7th grade. i know its very hard to get into out of state. i really want to study business and am definatly not planning on going to a school in new jersey, not even on this coast (my other schools im looking at are university of texas-austin and university of wisconsin-madison.) but im going to list my grades and stuff ill expect to happen:
- im in the top quarter of my class and expect to stay there or move up
- my general grades are mostly 85s but i get 5 extra points for the 3 advanced classes im in. i have like 100s in my electives and french
- im taking: algebra 2 (regular not advanced, even though average for my grade is geometry), advanced lit, advanced history, regular chem, and french 3
- im going to take AP lit, AP precalc, and MAYBE AP history next year. probably still going to take regular physics...maybe AP. do you think that would help? plus im going to continue to take french for the rest of my years so i cant be in French 5 and be fluent. im taking business classes and will take more plus other electives
- i volunteer at an animal shelter and have volunteered on collective things
- i plan to be a captain for at least one of the 3 sports i play my senior year
- im going to try to be president or VP of key club my senior year (maybe even an officer junior year)
- i am not that good of an essay writer

so....what do you think else i should do? any class/elective suggestions? extra things?
PLEASE HELP. WHAT ARE MY CHANCES. (im desperate)

to get into ucla you have to get mostly As. if you study and bring your grades up into that range, and get good sat scores, and get some leadership experience in your activities, you have a decent shot. unfortunately, it is very hard to get into ucs out of state, you have to be very qualified. at this point, it is too early to tell for sure whether or not you can get in. work hard, do well, and come back junior or senior year and people will be able to tell you more accurately what your chances are.
also, there is no such thing as AP precalc.
good luck! :)
