Hello everyone! I'll be a sophomore this year and I seriously wish I can be more involved in my school. As you all know UGA is a big school and though there's so many things to do, my freshman year was quite unproductive. I basically just worked and studied! Of course I joined a few clubs but didn't attended many meetings due to the late hours and having to study. This is seriously not how envisioned my college life to be. I want to do more volunteering, leadership activities, and studying abroad. I want to make life lasting friends. I'm not a greek person at all, but I'm willing to join a sorority for the sake of meeting new people. I don't want this to be another dull year with only grades to worry about. If anyone can suggest anything, I'd really appreciate it.

You get more involved in the things that interest you. You mentioned you joined some clubs but were not very active in them. Become active in them, attend meetings and volunteer for things. Take on a leadership role in a club. There are so many student organizations on campus but its up to you to take the initiative and become involve. There should be an organization fair coming up soon. Attend it and look for clubs/organization that spark your interest especially in those related to your major.
