Hi there! I was waitlisted at vanderbilt and it is my dream school. I sent a letter of continued interest but the school is need aware on the waitlist and I applied for financial aid. Do you know if there’s any other ways I can boost my chances of getting off the waitlist? Or if it’s really even possible to get off one if I applied for financial aid? Thank you:)
A waitlist is a rejection but a hedge for the school. So far Rice took no one. Emory a few.
The best thing you can do is you have accepted elsewhere. Hopefully it’s a wonderful fit. You should get jacked for it.
You could send your final transcripts etc but it’s unlikely to change anything. It’s a question of if they need your revenue. They’ve already rejected you.
Never fall in love with a school. You can go to your dream and have a bad roomie or bad profs. You can go to your safety and meet your BFF.
So emotionally move on and enjoy your summer.
