Currently I'm on the waiting list and I'd really like to get off. Vanderbilt is my dream school and I feel like I'm qualified academically but just got overshadowed by the high number of applications this year. First, how difficult is it really to get off the waitlist? Second, what else can I do to increase my chances? I plan to submit a personal statement, EC updates, additional recs, and a music supplement. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

any thoughts?

Submitting extra information is really the only thing you can do. Some have their counselor call the admissions office to speak on their behalf, but I’m not sure how effective that is. I guess it can’t hurt.
