Hey! I was wondering how to get prepared next year for APs. What do you do to better prepare yourself (especially the hard APs). My APs next year are US govt, Calc AB, stats, Art History, and English lang. Thanks!

I took govt this year. If you want to get a head start on it over the summer, buy the Princeton Review book for it and study away. It really helped me the night before the AP exam. I was getting 3's on practice tests and after reading PR all the way through, I'm 99% sure I got a 4/5 on the actual exam.

Also, just read books about the subjects. They don't have to be review or anything, just nonfiction that incorporates a lot of information. It is likely that you will remember things just because they were presented in an interesting manner, and it will provide a solid background for the beginning of the year.

This especially applies to US Govt, Art History, and Lang. For Lang I would read a lot of essays, and other rhetorical modes, just to get a feel for what will be harder to work with in class.

What burnitblue said is good. You should read normal books on the subject. There are tons of not crappy (and in some cases, good) books for subjects liks econ.

For AP Government all you really have to do is read articles in the newspaper that pertain to government and look up any terms mentioned in the article you may not know (i.e. contractors, pocket veto, political action committees, various executive agencies, etc.). If you do that, you should be in good shape.

EDIT: Also, you could watch C-SPAN. Most people find it excruciatingly boring though.
