How to go about contacting a coach

Hello everyone, I'm currently a senior in Rhode Island and I'm interested in helping my friend out with getting recruited to Brown. I'm going to attend Brown next year (ED) and through an early orientation I was able to talk to a recruited athlete who gave me the contact info for the throwing coach.

So we're from a low-performing high school that has no experience in getting students recruited. Our coach has no idea how to facilitate it and he's a first-generation college student whose parents came from the Dominican Republic. None of us know how to reach out to coaches, but that's why I have come here.

I have coach Darcy's email address but I don't want to make a bad impression on him. What do I say in the email? Also, how do I find the official nationwide rankings? His name is Francy Mata and he's ranked on the 2013-2014 indoor weight-throwing list. He's also gotten all-state in football as a linebacker (if that helps)

I want the list to send to coach Darcy just to catch her eye and I'm interested to know whether he has a better chance with throwing or football. This is all jumbled up and I apologize but I really want to see him do well.

Make a bad impression on her, sorry!

Very simple, have him send a quick email introducing himself expressing interest in the team, along with his distances, GPA and test scores. Also, you may want to see about removing his name from from your post here.
