yeah, its practice , practice

after you practice, try to do the problems as fast as possible- really concentrate. as you do the probs with variables, substitute numbers in for the variables.

Go thru each and every topic (in Math Section) of the blue book. Yeah, most seem pretty easy but trust me, as long as u know EACH AND EVERY CONCEPT stated in the blue book (I mean Official Study GUide) u will do a lot better. After learning those concepts try out some real SAT practice tests. Don't think about pacing at this very instance. But eventually u need to know how to do so. For the H (hard) problems on the Math section u really need to use ur mind logically, I don't think u can learn everything but as long as u know the basic rules u will see patterns for any Math problem. One more thing is that, u may feel like solving crossword puzzles or do sth dealing w/ involving ur mind which is at the same time a lot of fun. Trust me, it'll be helpful.

Yes, watch some of those videos on youtube, some are relevent, others not, but they all will help your general understanding of math.

I went from 680 to 740 using Kaplan's. I think most books are fine, just get more practice with the question types. The Math is pretty simple, it's just the situations that are used. But after a while, you'll get used to the common ways they use to try and catch you out. That said, trying to get from 480+ to 700+ is...very hard...so you'll have to put a lot of work in. Are you doing AP in school?
