How to Improve My Critical Readng Score by 200 in 2 Weeks

Is that even possible? I took a practice test today and I got 760 Math, 710 Writing, but 540 Reading!!! I had 22 wrong plus few blanks. I'm terrible at both sentence completion and the reading passage stuff.

For sentence completion, I don't think I know enough words... Would memorizing like, 200 words or so help? or is that too little? But there is only two weeks left.

For reading passage, one of the reason I do so bad is that it's hard to keep myself from drifting away while reading long passages because I'm a terrible concentrator. But I am just bad at critical reading in general.

I really need to get this score up because I am probably applying early next year and this is the only time to take my SAT I...(because I'm taking the subject tests in Oct)

Please help, how can I improve?

When you're reading the passages, talk to yourself, keep paraphrasing what you read, put it in your own words to better understand them.

As for the words, just try to memorize a list of prefixes and suffixes. And although you have 2 weeks, try to read a few books.

Lol @ talk to yourself.

vocab problems = memorize memorize. u can memorize lots of words in 2 weeks.

reading comprehension = there's a "trick" to answer RC questions. do lots of practice and "Analyze" why u got questions wrong and right. if there's a Q that u don't know how to answer, star it and pick ur best answer. then go back and see why you got it right or wrong. find ur footing.
