I seem to do well on every section except science. Any suggestions on how to change this?

Don't read the passage or the information. Just read the questions and find the answers afterwards.

Skim as much as you can. You have to be fairly fast to finish it all.

yes, try not to read the passages.. just dive right into the questions... just get a lot of practice tests (real ACT book, PR, kaplan, etc...) and take the science tests... practicing the science section a lot should help

You definitely get a little confused though when it asks a question and you don't know what it's talking about and you have to eventually read it. One great way to improve though is to start on the right section. Today I looked at it and I decided that when I take it, I'll start with section 7 and work my way down because those are easier and faster for me. I tried looking at the questions first and some of them you can get by but eventually you'll have to do some reading.

The graphs I usually take about 60 seconds to understand the graphs and any trends/patterns they have and what they're saying. Then I go to the questions.

On experiments/fighting scientists, I take my time, read the passage, then answer the questions.

The #1 rule for me, is to read comfortably. RELAX. Read quickly, but don't think about it too much. Understand what the questions are asking you.

--This might not work for you, just try different things. You have about 5 minutes per section.--

^^ yes, yes, yes. this is very important

Or if you can't get a question, just say to yourself that this is an extremely easy question(because it's supposed to be), and either move onto another question and come back to it immediately or calm down and look at it very calmly and imagine that you're using your calm logic to solve it.

People say not to read, but I found that it helps to skim the entire passage FOR THE SECTION WITH NO GRAPHS, like when you have to compare what multiple scientists say. Otherwise, just look at the charts until you actually need info from the passage.

^^ oh yeah.. for the scientists' views, then yeah, it is a good idea to read them (quickly, though)... but for the others ones with graphs and figures, try to go right into the questions

Yeah. You can't just go question by question w/o reading on the comparing viewpoints section. youll end up reading the whole thing anyway. Skim it first, then go back, i say.

I used kaplan's science strat on a practice test and dont think it was the best. maybe good for someone aiming for a 25, not any more than that. so many questions are obvious taht its not worth the time to read everything.
