I’m applying RD to Barnard, but I’m really worried because I am not as strong of an applicant as others who have previously posted. Is there a way I can distinguish myself or increase my chances of getting in? I’ve already signed up for an interview, but is there any other way I can make myself seem like a competitive applicant?

I just got accepted to Barnard ED. And my grades and scores are OK. So I think what made me stand out is the interest I demonstrated and the essays. I was not afraid to take risks when I wrote my essays. Write from your heart!

The bottom line is that: Forget about what you cannot improve and focus on what you can (ECs, essays, interview, etc.)

There is really no good answer to your question. We don’t know what your grades or your experiences are and we have not ready your essays. Even if we all had that information, we could not really address your quesiton

Ah congratz !! Thank you so much. That is definitely the right attitude I should have!

Maybe an alumni interview? I’m hoping that mine will give me a boost.
