How to increase my score

So I took a Pre ACT test a month ago and just got the results. I scored a composite score of 25. My composite percentile ranking was 82. Looking at this I wasn't happy with it, as I was expecting at least a 28. I got the following on each section:

English: 23 71 Percentile
Math: 28 92 Percentile
Reading: 24 70 Percentile
Science: 25 86 Percentile

My GPA is 4.85 and my rank is 124/512

I know after this semester my GPA will go up more as I have straight A's and a couple honors classes.

My question is what can I do to improve my score when I take the real thing February and April? I plan on going through a prep book and studying. Is there anything else I can do to help? As a student I excel in math and business related courses including accounting, college accounting, etc. I plan on applying to CU, Northwestern, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Do you think I'm fine and on my way to attending one of those universities or do I need to do very well on the ACT to be able to get into those schools? Thanks in advance.

Basically, just purchase many ACT practice books. You don’t even have to time them. Just go through each test or section and work the problems out.

For example, my science score was 26. Before that particular test, I had taken quite a few timed tests. After that test, I decided to try something different. I just worked through several science sections without timing them. Of course, you want some timed tests, but working through it at your own pace can help too. My science score on the last ACT test was 31.
